Floppy Disk

For 3.5-inch floppy disks, we distinguish between high-density disks and DD disks. 
HD (High Density) discs have a storage capacity of 1.44 MB. 
On DD (Double Density) disks only 720kB can be stored. The latter have still a significance for keyboard players. Many older keyboards work with drives that support only 720kB (DD) floppy disks.
